Carriereditor 20171/3/2024 A communication scholar named Alasdair MacIntyre once wrote that “man is essentially a storytelling animal,” which sums it up beautifully. We create stories for ourselves as well as those around us. In my Theories of Communication class, we learned about Walter Fisher’s narrative theory, which identifies “narrative as the master metaphor of human experience.” In other words, we use stories to make sense of the world around us. I’ve been thinking a lot about that phrase, “the powerful play.” It’s such an interesting way to look at life. He had a long, white beard and wore billowing linen pants he is obviously on an entirely separate plane of existence than the rest of us. He is, quite literally, contributing verse to this powerful play of a life. Of course Walt Whitman can say this about himself. When I first read this, essentially an answer to the question of the meaning of life, I was skeptical. “That you are here – that life exists and identity, that the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse,” Walt Whitman wrote one time. Step 6 – Chose File-Export and name the file differently to the original image file! As my example original was called itn.png I’ll name this 2nd image itnETCHED.png set X as 0, Y as 2, Blur Radius as 2 and untick the “allow resizing” box. Use a bold font (looks better on the iPhone status bar) and depending on how many letters you want to use,I find 9-10 max fit between signal bars and cellular signal! Save as a.jpg image file. (if you want to have text as your carrier logo just create your own, I use choose create a new image-preset size 800×600. This modified version is saved to your Desktop along with a copy of the original carrier file, be sure to save this original file somewhere safe, it will be called YourNetwork_original.ipcc handy if you want to restore the original carrier file!
